What to Wear to Your Boudoir Session — A Guide from Our Summerville, SC Boudoir Studio

One of the first questions clients ask before their boudoir shoot is, “What should I wear?”The good news: you don’t need to go on a shopping spree. Whether you love soft lace, bold colors, or cozy oversized sweaters, I’ll help you create looks that flatter your body and reflect your personality.

Here are my top tips for choosing your outfits for your Lisa Gallant Photography boudoir session.

1. Choose Outfits That Make You Feel Like You

Forget trends — focus on what makes you feel confident. That might be a lacy bodysuit, a silky robe, or even a favorite T-shirt. The most stunning images always come from women who feel comfortable and authentic.

2. Mix Textures and Styles

Bring a variety! Think lace, satin, mesh, or even denim. A good mix adds depth to your gallery and lets us show different sides of your personality — from romantic to bold to playful.

3. Don’t Forget the Details

Accessories make all the difference. Heels, jewelry, stockings, or even a hat can transform a look. If you’re not sure what works, we’ll style everything together when you arrive.

4. Borrow from the Studio Closet

Our studio wardrobe includes a curated collection of bodysuits, robes, and accessories for all body types. You’re welcome to try them during your shoot — no need to stress over shopping.

5. The Don’ts: Skip the Tan Lines & Tight Elastics

Avoid self-tanner, new undergarments that dig into your skin, or anything that leaves marks. Your skin will thank you — and your photos will look smoother and more polished. We can blend tan lines to reduce their visibility, but we cannot remove orange skin tone that comes with self tanner.
