How old were you are your session? 26
What made you decide to book a session? I was finally brave enough to commit to doing it!
What was originally holding you back from booking a session? Money a little but more so body image. I've always been curvier and scared to embrace it.
What were you most nervous about for your session? By far not having outfits that would be approved for the shoot. I didn't feel like I fit the traditional mold for a woman who would do Boudoir so I feared not being able to find things that made ME sexy.
What were you most looking forward to prior to your session? I wanted someone to help me embrace my beauty. For awhile I wanted someone to help break me out of my negative headspace.
How did you feel about yourself before your session? I always felt I was pretty but it was misguided. I have never been able to fully accept it because of my size.
How did you feel about yourself after your session? I felt so positive about myself. I wanted everyone to see me in this beautiful, powerful glow. It was exciting!
Were you nervous before viewing your images? I didn't become nervous until minutes before the shoot. I worried if I made a mistake not coming alone.
How did you feel about yourself after seeing your images?I felt like a badass!
What were your favorite products?The flash drive by far! I also ended up really loving the steel photo.
What would you tell anyone interested in, but maybe hesitant, booking a session of their own?Just do it. Do it for yourself. Do it for everyone who ever shamed you for your body for not being ideal and show them why they were wrong. Empower yourself!!!
How as working with Lisa and the makeup artists? It was AMAZING! I loved working with them both!
Will you be doing another session? I would love to do it again!
Anything else you'd like to add? Walking in, I was super nervous but I warmed up to these ladies quick. I have never been someone who could quite own it while stripping down so to feel so encouraged the entire time was great.
(Anything Else) I have always wanted to be the confident girl. I have always been doubtful and scared to fully embrace myself. This photo shoot is the start of a greater chapter for me. This shoot was all about learning to embrace loving myself and being brave enough to allow myself. I never thought "a girl like me" could pull it off. But I've always like to break the mold and I'm glad I did. I hope I can pass on my empowerment to anyone who is unsure about their body. For you may not be "traditional" beauty but there is nothing stopping you from finding ways to embrace the goddess in you!
